In this episode, I sit down with Meranda Squires. We explore her path into this work, from being introduced to meditation at a young age, to traveling to India, and the years of practice that now shape how she holds space through The Lotus Centre. There’s a groundedness to the way she shares that comes from lived experience.
This conversation moves through self-inquiry as a practice you return to, coming back to your direct experience and allowing what’s there to be seen more clearly over time. We talk about dyad work and how it supports that process through presence, witnessing, and honest reflection.
She also speaks about the ego in a real and relatable way. The voice that questions your worth, pushes you to do more, or tells you you’re not enough. Rather than trying to get rid of it, we explore what it means to become aware of it, to recognize the patterns, and to choose not to move from that place.
We move into karma yoga, service, devotion, and what it looks like to walk a spiritual path in your everyday life. How this work shows up in your relationships, your choices, and the way you meet yourself.
This is a grounded and honest conversation for anyone who feels drawn to deeper self-understanding and a more direct relationship with themselves.

In this episode, I sit down with intuitive visionary artist Dominique Hurley for a conversation on creativity, intuition, and what it means to allow something to move through you.
We explore the different ways her work comes to life, from intuitive painting, where she begins without a plan and allows each layer to reveal what wants to emerge, to visionary pieces that come through as flashes of imagery or feeling that she then translates onto the canvas.
Dominique shares how she experiences her art as something that comes through her, not from her, and what it looks like to trust that process in real time.
We also talk about her newest collection and the pace of inspiration, what it feels like when ideas arrive faster than you can physically create, and the shift from feeling pressure to keep up, into allowing the work to unfold in its own timing.
There’s a deeper thread woven throughout the conversation around readiness, how her paintings tend to find people at specific moments in their lives, and what people come to discover within themselves when they spend time with her work.
Dominique also shares about her intuitive painting process, which she has made accessible through free resources on her website for anyone who feels called to explore their own creativity in this way.
This conversation is an invitation to reconnect with your intuition, trust what you’re receiving, and allow it to take shape in a way that feels true for you.

This episode opens Season 2 of the podcast with a conversation that moves through voice, sound, discernment, and truth as lived experience rather than concept.
Jessica and Kat explore how authenticity functions as protection, how speaking from truth naturally organizes the field around us, and why clarity can feel activating or triggering in environments where self-expression has been restricted. The conversation touches on resonance, energetic boundaries, self-reflective love, and the subtle ways the body responds when something true is spoken.
The episode closes with a powerful transmission shared by Kat. A moment meant to be felt rather than understood. One that invites the listener into resonance, balance, and remembrance beyond words.
As the year turns, this episode marks a shift in the direction of the podcast. Season 2 will hold more space for collective questions, social realities, and conversations that ask us to listen more deeply to ourselves, each other, and the world we are moving through together.
Listen with your body.Let what resonates stay.

In this luminous and soul-stirring episode of the Raising Sage Spiritual Podcast, host Jess welcomes Anela Laahui Kahulani (@kat_kahulani)—artist, grandmother, water guardian, and the radiant force behind the Lighthouse Portal. Joining from her home on Maui, Kat opens up about her deeply personal and cosmic spiritual awakening, which was catalyzed by a seemingly mundane yet life-altering moment: breaking her arm while sun-gazing.
From that breaking point, Kat embarked on a healing journey of remembering—of self, purpose, and power. She shares how her spiritual gifts, like weaving light, receiving Hawaiian water chants (aloha mele), and lightning-assisted energy clearings, emerged through connection with nature, ceremony, and inner stillness. The conversation flows from mystic visions of turtles and whales to profound lessons in self-love, grief alchemy, and being unapologetically “strange” in a programmed world.
Kat's storytelling is vibrant, grounded, and completely unfiltered. Interweaving ancient Hawaiian wisdom with real-life transformation. Whether you're just stepping into spirituality or searching for deeper remembrance, this episode is a radiant, heart-opening offering.
